The Inner Yoga Trust Foundation Course
Over seven non residential weekends you can deepen your own practice and knowledge of yoga, and explore the idea of becoming a yoga teacher.
The foundation course is practical and experiential. There is a simultaneous focus on the different parts of the body learning about anatomy as it applies to asanas (postures) whilst also working with whole body connections. There is a mix of asana practice and theoretical teaching of anatomy and resources include a full sized skeleton (plastic of course!)
It also gives an introduction to pranayama and meditation and touches on all aspects of yoga as relevant to the people in the group. The course attracts people with a variety of experience and this tends to make the groups lively and interesting to be in.
Try any weekend as a taster to see if you like the style of teaching and if you do, register for the course. You can join anytime during the course. The course can lead on to the two year programme and completion of all three years leads to the accredited teaching qualification.
As well as registered students, course weekends are open to those who have some experience of yoga and want to attend for a particular weekend (at the discretion of the teacher). Check via the drop down menu above to see dates are available near you. If dates are not available on this site for a particular location contact the school administrator on 01730 261 001 to see if there is more information. The foundation course costs £900. A taster weekend is £110.
