Ayurveda is the oldest form of traditional medicine still in use today. It works on universal elemental principles and understanding these simple ideas can help us to establish and maintain a life of balance.
This day is an introduction to Ayurveda during which we will explore the elemental principles of Ayurveda in relation to Yoga. We will learn about the fundamental principles of Yoga’s “sister science” and find out simple and effective ways to understand and respond to our unique body constitution as well as how to use this understanding to inform our Yoga practice and to help our students.
An experiential day including a simple cooking demo which will help balance the “doshas” and assist our bodies with Spring cleansing – we will enjoy this vegetarian dish for lunch so please also bring along a small vegetarian dish to share with the group.
