Join Sarah Waterfield for a weekend of traditional vedic chanting in Edinburgh this coming April.

Introduction to Vedic Chanting (Part 1 Saturday 8 April 2 – 4.30 pm and Part 2 Sunday 9 April 2 – 4.30 pm)

Vedic Chanting is the traditional chanting in Sanskrit of the earliest Yoga texts, the Veda-s.  This type of chanting has been transmitted unchanged for thousands of years through oral transmission and thus connects us in a very direct way to the origins and essence of Yoga.

Join Sarah Waterfield, the Inner Yoga Trust’s specialist Sanskrit Tutor, and learn simple yet powerful chants and mantras, explore this ancient form of chanting further and experience its profound effects. This introductory workshop is followed on Sunday afternoon by a second session –  students can join either or both!

No previous experience is necessary. Suitable for all – yoga teachers and students who wish to widen and deepen their knowledge of yoga and incorporate chanting into their practice. The workshop is open to everyone who is interested in sound and chanting, whether or not they practice yoga.

Freedom in Asana Workshop – Saturday 8 April, 10 – 2.30 pmSarah Waterfield

Yoga postures to bring freedom to the body and breath.  Sarah combines the fluid, whole-body Scaravelli approach to asana together with her knowledge and love of the sacred texts of Yoga.  Her teaching style is creative and intuitive.  Expect to move your body in new, surprising and wonderful ways!

Student numbers are limited to a maximum of ten for the Freedom in Asana workshop. This workshop is part of a weekend of teaching with Sarah and tickets are available to attend any or all of the four workshops. The cost for attending all four workshops is £95.
